New Year's Blessings to All

Greetings from rainy Georgia,
Seems I have not been here in ages. My mother-in-law passed on Christmas day peacefully here with us. There is a great sadness, yet a hopeful joy in knowing she is no longer burdened by the illness of her body.
I just wanted to wish all you faithful readers, family and friends a joyous New Year with all the blessings your heart can hold. Your prayers through this time have helped me and my family so greatly.
I will be back to creating after next week and hopefully will have some funky new stuff for you all to see. Let's hope that Ebay sales pick up a bit and I am still waiting on my Etsy shop to have it's first sale. They say patience is a virtue, so I am attempting to be virtuous! LOL
Again, your prayers were truly appreciated. Happy New Year!
Peace,
Cath

Friday is Here!

Greetings All,
I have been a bit neglectful of my blog lately due to the illness of my mother-in-law. She is now on hospice care so your prayers are greatly appreciated.
Not much new on the art end of things. I have a few mermaids almost finished. Etsy and Ebay are slower than watching barbed wire rust, but I am hanging in there.
Have a wonderful weekend. Remember those you love, they like to hear it!
Peace to all in this most blessed of Holiday Seasons.
Cath

Surviving Saturday! LOL

Greetings from Sunny Georgia!
Well, it has been a roller coaster week. My mother-in-law has been in the hospital with a touch of pneumonia but reacted poorly to the medications. So we have been doing the run to the hospital trick since Monday. I will be relieved and happy to bring her home today.
So needless to say, not much art inspiration this week! Hopefully getting her home will make my pea brain realize my ducks are all in a row and I can get some work done on the creative side. I look forward to that!
Have a a glorious weekend. Remember to take the time to tell those you love that you do! Life is so precious!
Blessings to all, Cath

Saturday's Musings

Greetings All!
Hope your Thanksgiving was a success. We had a wonderful time visiting and of course eating. So many things to be thankful for in our lives. I slept like a rock that night. LOL
Ebay is slower than watching barbed wire rust these days so I am trying to get new listings completed for my Etsy shop. There is a link on this blog to get there.
We are all still praying for a few days of rain here in Georgia to help with the drought. It may get quite serious soon if we don't fill those reservoirs. I can't imagine in this day and time not turning on the faucet to get water!!!!
Not much new on this end. Trying to complete some started projects, maybe today I can get that done. Procrastination seems to be my middle name lately. Hehehe
Have a wonderful weekend and remember those you love.
Peace,
Cath

Thanksgiving Week

Greetings All,
Now it is crunch time and I am ready with my grocery list. Seems it grows a bit every year about this time. I love to cook so I always look forward to Thanksgiving. It is such a wonderful Holiday! The best part to me is the fact that it is all about being thankful. It is the time of year when we can catch up with family and friends and just enjoy being together.
Of course, we also love turkey! And I have been making the same cornbread sausage dressing for over 25 years now. Guess one would consider that a tradition now. LOL
So now it is off to put the finishing touches on the list and see what other project needs doing.
Remember to tell those you love how thankful you are for them. Kindness is free, so give it away!
I wish you all a Blessed Thanksgiving.

Monday again?

Greetings Faithful Bloggers,
Well, this morning started out with a bang. As some of you know, I was an administrator who wrote curriculum for a preschool until my recent retirement. So I was on the call list for the alarm system at the school. You got it, 5:45 a.m., the phone rang and by the time I found it (lol), it had quit. Then my cell phone went off like gang busters and I did find it in time. The alarm monitoring company still had me as first contact on their list. Yikes! I left in July. Go figure. Needless to say I was wide awake then and the day went downhill.
But all is well now. Again, never a dull moment in this household. I hold my breath to see what tomorrow brings. Hehehee!
Enjoy this fall, winter is around the bend.
Hugs,
Cath

Supe Saturday!

Greetings all,
I just got back from lunch with my client for the commissioned piece. It was so wonderful to visit with them. I realize how much I miss my kiddos from the school.
I have to tell a tale on Fred and myself. Obviously, with grandkids, etc., we aren't exactly spring chickens any more. So, you notice that your eye sight, hearing, etc., is not at sharp as it was once.
Fred called me into the kitchen and there was a most annoying high pitched whine going on. We checked the oven, microwave, light fixture, coffee pot, refrigerator and even opened the window to see if the sound was outside with the a/c unit. We live on the ground floor of a condo, so I even knocked on the neighbor's door to see if it was at their place. No good.....the noise was increasing in pitch a bit and about to drive me nuts, which is a short trip these days. We both stood in the kitchen scratching our heads and looking all around like a couple of nuts! Finally, I said I can't take this and went to work on a new art piece for a bit.
Something possessed my pea brain and I went back to the kitchen, opened the gadget drawer and the noise almost knocked me over! LOL It was our digital meat thermometer letting us know the battery was dying out!!!! We both cracked up. Guess it was better then than in the middle of our favorite rare roast beef!
Never a dull moment at this house!
Enjoy your weekend. Hugs to all!

My Etsy Shop

Oh my, that was entirely too easy for a so so computer person like me. My shop is now open on Etsy. The link to get there is here on the blog.
I opened it with Peter's wonderful portrait. I will be listing more items there later today. If you get a chance, check it out.
My thanks to Carol, again, for being the brave one who jumped out first to test the waters. Props to you, my friend!
Have a grand day!

A Lovely Tuesday!

Greetings Faithful Readers,
It is another gorgeous day in Georgia. I just finished a new portrait yesterday. I am calling it the Many Faces of Peter. Peter is a dear friend of ours who is a wonderful Korean gentleman with a great face. I showed this to him and he said, "Oh no, I'm old man! Not art!!!" I had to laugh and assured him he has a fabulous face.
I am enjoying this new technique I have arrived at recently. I love doing the faces in clay and paper...gives an awesome texture to the pieces. I have my own special finish for it to add more dimension. The eyes are tricky, but a challenge is always good!
Things here are peaceful for now. Gearing up for the holidays which become a bit crazy, but that is a good thing.
I am considering an Etsy shop so check back to the blog here to get the new link. Should be a few weeks or sooner if I can get a few moments at the computer uninterrupted. LOL (not!)
Hope your day is filled with love!
Cath

Cool, Cool Monday!

Greetings All,
Fall is definitely here. Time to think about where in the world I am going to move my outdoor garden to this year. Every spring I promise myself I won't get more plants, but that never lasts long. LOL So, a bit of fall renovating inside to find a place for my lovelies!
My family in California are all fine and well. Everyone seems to have weathered the fires as well as they can. I am so thankful!
Off to go see what my creative spirit comes up with today. Ebay is slow, but I am trying to gear up for the holiday season. Check back this weekend as I will be listing then. My Ebay link is here on the blog.
Also, don't forget to check Carol's wonderful Etsy shop. She has so many cool items that would make fabulous one of a kind gifts this season.
Thank you all for your prayers!
Have a glorious day!
Cath

Wednesday!

Greetings Faithful Readers,
It is with a hopeful heart that I write this post. I have 9 family members who are directly affected by the Southern California fires. One family was forced to evacuate two days ago. We pray their home is safe. I am so thankful they were able to get out okay. And the winds seem to be dying out a little bit today.
My son is on alert for evacuation at present. My sister is on alert, also.
It is the hardest thing to be so far away from those we love in times of need, but prayer keeps us only a heartbeat away.
Please remember all those displaced families in your prayers. Every prayer helps!
And on a positive note, it has rained for almost 24 hours where I am in Georgia. Hopefully, some of this is hitting our lake system as the government here is saying we have 90 days of water left at this time. To quote a Corp. of Engineers official, we need "40 days and 40 nights of rain" to end this drought.
Time for me to get busy. May your day be filled with joy!

Super Sunday!

Greetings all,
I have been madly working on pieces all week as I realized my stash of items to list on Ebay was dwindling rapidly. Guess that is a good thing!
So, here is my latest. A Mod Geisha made with my signature handmade paper, leather, watercolor and some twigs I picked up on Tybee Island. She will be listed today on Ebay.
My dear friend, Carol, has given me some virtual lessons on felting and so far I seem to felt my fingers better than the wool! OUCH! But I am not going to give up. Check out her wonderful felted items on her Etsy site. A link is somewhere on this blog!
Things seem quiet here and I miss my grandbabies very much. It was such a joy to go to see them. They grow up so quickly. I am so thankful for the internet with new pictures sent to me often from my sweet daughter-in-law.
Anyway, hope your Sunday brings you all the blessings your heart can hold.
Peace,
Cath

Tuesday again?

Greetings All,
Seems I have the Tuesday blogs lately. I just returned from a fabulous visit to my son and his family in California. Jesseka turned 3 and Cayla is about 6 months old. I am so proud of them! MiMi here had a blast. Jesseka is a motor mouth like her Daddy was and doesn't forget anything you say.
My son brought out his skateboard and dared me to ride it. Of course, Jesseka and I couldn't say no! But at my age, skateboarding means sitting down on it. LOL Jesseka rode in the front yelling "Wonder Woman" all the way down the hill.
It is always so much fun to visit, but it makes me appreciate my nice quiet home. I had forgotten that babies need to eat at 5 a.m. Oh WOW!
Now I have another mountain of laundry and lots of emails to catch up on. Being a grandma MiMi is such a blessing. Children are our most wonderful legacy and to see them have children is beyond words.
So back to the fluff and fold......hugs to all
Cath

Another Terrific Tuesday

Greetings All!
It has been a bit wet here in Georgia. I was greeted this a.m. by Lexi who was wet from stem to stern! LOL She looks so funny when she is wet, so much smaller with those long skinny legs.
Ebay sales this weekend were kind...managed to sell 3 pieces. Thank you to my repeat buyers!
I am anxious to meet with my buyer for the commissioned piece. I sent her a preview and she is excited. That makes creating pieces so much fun.
I am finally able to go visit my grandbabies this week. They grow up entirely too fast. So I am madly trying to finish up loose ends and get my stuff ready. Seems I might need an extra suitcase for all the MiMi gifts I am bringing. (They call me MiMi)
Thank goodness for expandable rolling suitcases! LOL
Have a glorious rest of the week and I will be back charged up and ready to create soon!
Hugs to all!

She's Finished!

Greetings Dear Readers,
Well, here is the moment of unveiling.....Mackenzie is complete. She is a rainbow kind of spirit so she has many colors. This was a true test for me and my love for the handmade paper and clay. I am pleased with the results and ready to try something new!
Have a wonderful weekend. For all you art supporters out there, thank you! My Ebay sales are staying steady.
Peace,
Cath

Yahooooo!

Greetings Faithful Readers,
Well, I am so humbled right now I barely know what to type. I have received my first commissioned piece order. WOW! Thankfully, it was only specific to being a portrait.
Any of you who follow my creations know I tend to lean towards the funky side. So I bravely grabbed my flesh colored clay.....looked at the photo of this dearest little girl and created her face in a very large cab style adding some nose, mouth and bone definition. I was so excited when she came out of the oven I could hardly think. LOL
Next started the textured paper to give her face definition. Oh boy, I was ripping cool slubs of paper all afternoon! Next, with clay and paper what in the world do I make her sweet little wispy bob hair out of????? Gee, I found my beautifully textured leather and started cutting. I think I have a scissor thing going on.
So here I sit waiting for the latest paper layer to dry as I adjusted it today and chomping at the bit to place the last layer of lovely soft pink paper to her adorable face. Patience is truly a virtue at this moment...come on, dry you glue!
Tommorrow, the saga of the EYES! Oh my, Oh My!
Hope you all are enjoying the changing weather. It is lovely here. Inspired me to new heights for sure! Will post a pic of my portrait when she progresses above the "what is that????" stage.
Peace,
Cath

Monday, Monday!

Greetings all!
Well, I listed my newest creation on Ebay freshly inspired from Tybee Island. I have included a photo here for your viewing.
Also, as many of you know there is a wonderful artist organization for mixed media and indie artists called Variazone. This is the ZNE logo you see in many descriptions and listings on Ebay. It is a great bunch of artists who share ideas, techniques and photos of their work as well as friendship. Recently, two members suffered the lost of a child. Stevie and Brianna are being memorialized through an auction to raise money for a mosaic in their honor. The website for the auction is http://www.HopeSeesAStar.com
If you get a moment, check out the lovely works that have been donated to this cause.
I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child. I only wish I had known about it sooner as I would gladly have donated a piece for auction. You can also just donate a few dollars if nothing strikes your fancy in the items for sale.
It certainly makes me realize even more that each day we have is precious and we need to always remember those we love and tell them! My blessings are many and with the love and support of my family and friends, it makes my life incredible.
Have a wonderful day!

Weary Wednesday

Greetings All,
Will somebody please put the washer on auto pilot???? I have done a mountain of laundry. Thankfully, with my dear Hubby's help. He does laundry well!!!
I am going to post a picture of the birds from our trip. They moved so fast I am amazed I got a shot at all. And the kitty is from our favorite restaurant on Tybee, The Crab Shack.
Hope all is well with you and yours. Hopefully, tomorrow will be an arteeeeeeest day!
LOL
Hugs,
Cath

Another Terrific Tuesday!

Greetings All,
We just returned from our wonderfully restful and very relaxing vacation. I cannot believe we were gone for 7 days! Everybody seems to still be in one piece. LOL The ocean at Tybee Island was gorgeous. Fred met a few friendly birds that decided they loved cheese puffs. He had one grackle that would actually take the piece of cheese puff from his hand! Hopefully my camera was on target and we got some wonderful shots.
I am anxious to get my clay out tomorrow and play with the shells that I picked up on the beach. I have mermaid on the brain currently.
Fred almost choked on his food when I asked for a doggie bag for the clam shells we had just eaten! Of course, he had to tell our server I was an Arteeeest...LOL LOL LOL
She smiled and said we should move to Tybee as it is an artsy town. Course at a Half million dollars for a 2 bedroom bungalow, I will have to sell an awful lot of art!
So, we are home and I am inspired! Take good care. And take the time to enjoy life, we don't get a rehearsal.
Peace,
Cath

Terrific Tuesday!

Greetings Faithful Readers,
Yahooo, today is another wonderful Ebay day. I am currently selling two ATCs and have a watcher on a third. This is entirely toooooo much fun!
I am adding a preview picture of a keepsake cigar box that I just finished. It should be listed soon.
Have a glorious day, I am off to go play with my clay.
Hugs to all...

Saturday!

Greetings from Georgia! Where did this week get to? I turn around and it is Saturday.
For all you curious readers out there, here is a sample of one of my poems beside the one in the link you can vote on. I wrote this about 10 yrs. ago after a sad period in my life but one that left me full of hope for the future. I met my sweet hubby, Fred a few weeks after writing this!

Black and White

She dreams at night in color, the spectrum of her mind
The feelings swirling thru the mists of sleep
Each color holding a truth in dreams.
The brilliance explodes in hues of meaning she can almost
But not quite touch.
Her soul she sees before her, a myriad of shades.
With wakefulness she sighs and knows that she must wait again.
And seek the day, always looking within.
Searching for her heart.
Confusion reigns in daylight, wisdom glows at dusk.
The greyness creeps in slowly.
What lies ahead she must paint, a picture of her life.
The pallet trust and truth with love.
She longs for the night to dream again.
To continue on the journey for that one elusive color,
That only she will know.
In time to complete her canvas, and the peace will finally come.
She dreams at night in color and wakes to black and white.

So there you have it, faithful readers. Enjoy your weekend!
Peace, Cath

Terrific Tuesday!!!!

Greetings Faithful Readers,
I must say that I just received the kindest email from an Ebay buyer. She took the time to thank ME for creating my art. Oh Wow!! Thank you, Laurie, from the bottom of my heart. It is for people like you that we artsy ones continue our quest for creating.

Speaking of creating, for those of you who don't know it, I also write poetry. There is a link on the side of my blog to go rate my poem. I have been published internationally three times and won two minor awards for my writing. I enjoy doing it very much, but with all the art stuff and Ebay going on, I just don't seem to have the time much. But as with any inspiration, you never know when it is going to happen. LOL

We are counting down the days til vacation. I am madly searching for a bathing suit for the beach.

Take good care and never give up on yourself. Sometimes life makes the lemonade for you instead of giving you lemons!
Peace, Cath

Check out Carol's new Etsy Store!

Greetings All,
I have put a link on the blog for you to easily find Carol aka IngeniouslyCreative3 on Ebay in her new Etsy store. It is lovely!
It seems that UKers have to list on Ebay in the States separately now. Go figure??? That means double listing fees, etc. Her Etsy store is filled with unique OOAK jewelry and clay items currently, at tremendously reasonable prices. If you haven't visited, check it out!
All is well here. Hubby and me are anxiously counting down to vacation time. I am already sad to have to leave sweet Lexi at the boarders, but she doesn't travel well in a car even to the groomers! And her vet who boards her spoils her as rotten as we do. But it will be a first for us to be away from her in two years. My four legged daughter! LOL
Hope you all have a grand weekend. We will be glued to opening weekend of football season tomorrow. Got my steaks all ready for the grill!
Take good care. XOXO

Seems I have been lost in time!

Greetings All from Georgia!
Wow, where does time fly to these days? I am proud to say I sold 4 more items on Ebay last weekend. Thanks to Janet who is a grand buyer and very nice lady.
She sent the coolest email an "artist" can ever get. Said I was dangerous! I loved it so I printed it out and will probably frame it. Ebay bidders have been so kind to me. It makes my heart sing.
Hubby and me are taking our first vacation in over 5 years towards the middle of this month....off to Savannah and Tybee Island, GA. We went there many years ago and fell in love with the beauty of Savannah's architecture and historic district as well as the private, quaint island of Tybee. The Tybeeans refer to their life there as "quirky". Kind of describes my art....LOL Plus if you ever make the trip, "The Crab Shack" is heavenly with fresh little neck clams and incredible local seafood delights. Last time there, we had little necks in lieu of dessert. YUM!
So I will eat my way thru the vacation and try to get some exercise seeing the sites.
Again, thanks to all you faithful Ebayers who view our art daily. It is such a joy to create for folks like you! And if you have not been there, check out Etsy. It is an easy way to purchase from artists with a set price....no losing bids!
Peace to all,
Cath

Wet, Wet Wednesday

Greetings All, We are getting more rain.....probably will mold and mildew any moment now. LOL
Guess I need to correct yesterday's blog, I did finish the tiny mermaid today. I just couldn't resist. What is the old saying, Make Hay while the Sun Shines! So I made mermaid!
The photo isn't totally accurate as the blog squishes it to fit in a square. It is actually an oval frame.
I thoroughly enjoyed painting her sea background and did it on TOP of the glass. I didn't want to destroy the frame which was thoroughly glued to a piece of felt on the back. The frame was made in Italy.
I am pleased with the piece :)~
Enjoy your evening! XOXO

Tuesday Afternoon

Greetings All,
Tuesday Afternoon......hmmmm, my favorite Moody Blue's tune. Hope this finds you well. I am so excited to say that I have another bid on one of my ATCs. Yippee! This is so much fun.
Our temperatures are finally back in the high 80's which is a welcome relief!
I have so many art creations going on right now that I truly don't know where to start. Oooops, probably should go clean up my studio table so I can find myself. LOL
I am anxious to work on my mermaid, but promised myself I would finish a few others first that are farther along. I listed one of my larger pieces on Ebay today called Mermaid Brunch. If you get a moment, go look.....she was a lot of fun to do!
Well, back to the cleaning.......Take good care.

How Did Monday get here So Quickly??

Greetings all from Georgia,
It has been a wonderful series of off and on rain here in Georgia. Our rose bushes have pinked up again and are fabulous. When there color gets more vibrant, I will include a shot for your enjoyment. I love them, they are called Knockout Roses. They will grow as tall as me at 5'7"!!
I included a photo of my latest clay work. She is still in the raw, right out of the oven. I had a glorious time making this. She measures only 2 1/4" from tail to top of her crown!
I hope you are all well and enjoying your relaxation time.
Remember, give someone a smile tomorrow who doesn't expect it. It will make YOU smile again.
Hugs,
Cath

Saturday Postcript

Looks like I have another bidder on Ebay! Or I should say a repeat buyer! LOL
YAHOOOOOOOO! Life is good.
XOXO

Super Saturday!

Greetings All! We finally got a marvelous thunderstorm last night complete with lightning show. Poor Lexi does not enjoy storms and was joined to my hip. I finally wrapped her in a throw blanket and she went to sleep. I will post a picture later today. She is such a cutie pie!
I listed my very first functional piece of art that I made on Ebay yesterday and already have a watcher. I am thrilled!!! It is a funky lamp which kept growing.
I am anxious to see how it does.
I am working on a wooden jewelry box currently and having a blast playing with my clay. Guess I am just an "old" kid! LOL
Time to go check the oven and see if my clay is cooked! Hope your weekend is spectacular!
Hugs to all.

Forever Friday!

Greetings from Georgia,
Looks like we might have a chance of rain in the next few days. The poor lawns around here are burning up!
I have been working fast and furious to get some more items listed on Ebay. Thanks to wonderful Carol's advice, I now have purchased a tripod and should improve my photography skills a hair! LOL
For those of you who enjoy functional art with a twist, check my Ebay listing for the Family Tree lamp which I created. It is made from gorgeous pieces of exotic woods, ceramic leaves and a few touches by Moi! Hehehe! What started out as a good Ebay find in a simple lamp kept growing....and growing. For awhile we thought we would have to name it!!!!
I will try to post a picture here later on this evening.
Enjoy your weekend! You earned it.
XOXO

Tuesday's Gone With the Wind!

Greetings All from Still HOT Georgia,
But today we did get a bit of a breeze...of course, it feels like you stuck your head in an oven with a fan on. LOL But other than scorching the yards, all is well.
I am going to type something here I hoped I would never have to do.....so all you wonderful readers, bear with the HIGH HORSE for a paragraph or two.
Some of you may know I recently retired from a wonderful career writing curriculum for pre-school age children. I got so many hugs each day and loved every minute of it. But my family needed me at home, so I semi-retired pursuing my art from home.
What has a bee stuck in my bonnet is finding out that there are "artists" (I use the term loosely) out there that have nothing better to do than buy someone else's art and copy it. Okay, here is the scoop. Art is creativity that is supposed to come from YOUR brain and talents, not stealing another person's time and efforts. If you cannot create your own, then maybe you should choose another path to take in life. An art career has as much integrity written into it as your banker, whom you would not take kindly to stealing from you!
This did not happen to me, but to a dear friend and fabulous artist and it should not have happened at all. I realize that we all work in the same mediums such as wood, paper, collage, ATCs, cloth, clay, etc., but do your OWN thing! That is what makes the Art World such a joy to behold. Different strokes for different folks! (a little paint brush humor LOL)
So enough of that!
I have sold another piece and am thrilled beyond words. I am so grateful to all you faithful Minervas Madness purchasers. In case I failed to email it to you, any repeat buyer from me on an ATC gets half off their second purchase for shipping.
In my final thoughts, if you always treat others as you wish to be treated, then life gives you joy every day in some way. It might be small, but if you take the time to look, it is there waiting for you. Kindness is free, give it away!
XOXO!

Monday Already?

Hello All!
My, that weekend went by quickly. Seems I always have these grandiose plans for working on art all weekend and I turn around and it is gone! LOL
But I did manage to complete some clay work. There is something very relaxing about playing with clay. Maybe it brings us back to our childhood days?
Ebay seems to be sloooooooow right now, but I have managed five sales. I feel very blessed.
It is a neat feeling to have someone buy your creations.
Time to run....I hear a lamp in progress calling my name.
Enjoy your day!
Hugs to all,
Cath

Already Thursday!

Greetings all,
Boy, this week has gone by fast. Before we know it, Thanksgiving will be here and the Holiday season begins! I love Thanksgiving...seems it is the one time where the family can all get together and catch up on the latest and greatest. I always bring out the extra table leaves and it is just a wonderful time.

Georgia is still very hot but the humidity has calmed down so it is tolerable. After 25 years in Central Texas, our little heat wave here is pretty minor to me.

We have been house looking lately for that "perfect" little retirement place. Georgia is a lovely state with so many tall trees and gorgeous flowers that it makes it hard to choose a spot. But we are working on it! I would love to be able to see Lexi run free in a backyard. Our condo is lovely, but dogs must be on a leash. I must figure out the video camera for that "first trip" into the backyard off her leash. It should prove priceless!

Well back to the mail...seems I never dig out of that ! LOL
Hugs to all,

Monday, Monday

Greetings All,
Well, it appears I have another Ebay sale. Yahooooo! I must say I am pleasantly surprised that items are selling. I know that building a reputation is so important and I am doing my best to achieve that goal.
All is well here, not quite so hot. I finished up a frog ATC yesterday that is quite unique. Hope to get it listed on Ebay today.
So, guess it is camera time. Why is it that I can paint with a micron brush with about 4 hairs in it and still take a blurry picture? LOL Must practice my technique!
Peace and hugs to all,
Cathy

Steamy Saturday!

Greetings All,
Another steamy day in Atlanta but it seems the country is in a heat wave. Praying for rain!
I added a picture today of my art helper, Lexi. She is a two year old cockapoo/shitzu mix.
I don't remember life before Lexi. Her momma was a rescue dog and we adopted her from a wonderful organization, PetsToBe.org.
I am working on an art doll that may be the wildest thing I have ever done. LOL (maybe not)
I will post a picture when complete.
Ebay has been kind so far. I need to get the camera busy today and shoot some more of the completed creations.
Have a wonderful weekend. Stay cool!
Peace,
Cath

A Good Day to Paint!

Greetings All,
My, but it is hot here in Georgia. We are predicted to hit over 100 degrees again today. Makes me mighty grateful for air conditioning!

Since it is too hot to head out today, I think that gives me a good excuse to paint. I have been practicing my water color techniques which are a tad rusty. LOL

My dear friend, Carol has tagged me for Nice Matters! Thank you, my friend. It does matter!
It is fun to read blogs that are upbeat and nice.

Well, time to get busy and see what the creative juices can do today.

Peace and hugs to all!

Tuesday Thoughts

Hello all from VERY hot Georgia,
It is a steamy day here in Georgia, but no complaints, we have had a mild summer so far. I finally took some time off from Ebay and art to do some girly things. LOL My sweet hubby had given me a gift certificate for a facial which I used yesterday. My, that is some serious spoiling! And while I was trying not to fall asleep at the spa, sweet Lexi was getting her short summer "do" which is adorable. She pranced around for about 10 minutes on returning home, then had a long doggie nap. She loves the groomers!

I mailed off my first international sale today to Australia. That was exciting!

Tomorrow is our wedding anniversary and I must say it has been four glorious years being married to Fred. We have known each other ten years and still are best friends! We are very fortunate and blessed.

Time to try to get dinner going.....Mets game tonight and Fred will be glued to the tv. Go Mets!
Hugs to all!

Sunday Greetings from Georgia!

Hello All....
It has been a fun weekend watching listings end on Ebay and it seems I have managed to sell four items. I am quite pleased and hopeful that the viewings continue at the rate they are now.

All is well here and I have been madly working on some new pieces. Be prepared for some bizarre ATCs! My hubby thinks I have fallen out of a tree on my head. LOL

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
Hugs to all.

YAHOOOOOOO!

Well, dear readers, I did manage to live thru this day without totally biting off my toe nails. Hehehe!
I had four listings ending today and managed to sell two. I am so thrilled.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. This has been a grand day.
Carol, we did it!

Time to get my little sweeties headed for slumber.
Rest well and sweet dreams.

Ebay Day!

Greetings from Georgia! Today is that long awaited day when we actually see some results from my Ebay listings. I wait with baited breath!

I think I will go work on my "Carol" flapper doll to ease the nerves a bit. LOL

Thanks to all who viewed my listings on Ebay. Just seeing those counters ticking off the viewings was very thrilling.

Stay tuned for more creations and fun.

Peace and hugs,
Cath

Monday, Monday

Well it has been an interesting day. The Router decided to go on the fritz and seems I spent half the day trying to be the computer geek that I am NOT!

But Fred is back up and running now. Halelujah!

You can view my creations on Ebay currently using seller name ladynite-half or type in minervas madness on your search. There is a link to my Me page at the bottom of this blog.

Have a grand day! Looks like rain for Georgia again.

Hello Dear Friends and Family

Oh My, I have a BLOG.......Ten years ago if someone woud have told me I would have a BLOG I would have thought only me, I got some designer disease nobody can detect! LOL

But here I am thanks to so many supporters, family and my Dearest Hubby, Fred. I highly recommend marrying your best friend!

So I recently jumped out there on Ebay and started listing my so called "art". That certainly is a relative term, but it is mine. When I got my first bid, I think Carol, dear on the Irish Sea Coast could probably have heard me yell all the way from Georgia, USA. YAHOOOOOO!

So, enough of that, thank you for visiting my blog.....I promise to update regularly with my quips and thoughts. Life is so grand! Enjoy the little things, later as you age they become bigger things!

Peace, love and hugs,
Cath
